Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State has announced the appointment of a 37-year-old lawyer, Barrister Tochukwu Nweke, as his Special Adviser on Legal Matters.

Until his appointment, Barrister Nweke was Head of Chambers in the Abuja office of Dr Onyechi Ikpeazu SAN & Co, a leading litigation-based firm in Nigeria.

The young legal practitioner and strategist have worked with notable Nigerians, including renowned legal luminary, Onyechi Ikpeazu, OON, and SAN.

Tochukwu is renowned for his tenacity in the courtroom and his ingenuity in his legal reasoning.

He has conducted constitutional cases of repute at the Supreme Court and other superior courts of record, especially on matters relating to the interpretation of the constitution.

This no doubt informed his appointment by His Excellency, Prof. Charles Soludo, as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Legal Matters.

Many have hailed his appointment as a round peg in a round hole, considering the antecedents of the young lawyer.

Tobechukwu Nweke is well known in court for winning cases on very unique legal points.

Born on October 10, 1984, in Nsugbe LGA of Anambra State, Nwacha obtained his first degree in law from the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in 2008 before proceeding to the Nigerian Law School, Abuja.

He is an alumnus of Dennis Memorial Grammar School in Anambra State.

He’s a member of several professional bodies, such as the Nigerian Bar Association, the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators, the Certified Freedom of Information Professional, and others.

Many other professional certificates have also been given to him. One is the Certificate of Proficiency in Universal Mandatory IT Training (UMITT).
