The Scriptures have again been fulfilled in my life and quest to serve our august Association in the capacity of Publicity Secretary.

The Holy Bible in Numbers 23:23 reads:

“Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!”

Indeed the Lord has wrought great and marvelous things.

In my desire to serve the Bar, I obtained my nomination form for the position of Publicity Secretary. This singular act was viciously resisted by a microscopic few who desired to see me pushed out of the race. Three different petitions were written to challenge my qualification for the position. However, as it is written: “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” – Rom. 8 37.

Today, I return all glory to God who has not only vindicated me, but has conquered for me by preparing this sweet table before me in the presence of adversaries, and further anointing my head for victory. See Psalms 23:5.

Today, I can boldly say that everything that was orchestrated to frustrate our efforts, rather became our motivation. Indeed, all things work together for our good.

I wish to appreciate all our supporters for the displayed maturity, thoughtfulness, gracefulness and wisdom in our moments of trials. Your unflinching support is a great force propelling this ambition.

I wish to also urge those our dear colleagues who would have preferred that we were pushed out of the race, to come on board and join us to make our Association better for everyone of us.

Finally, the book of Ecclesiastes 9:11 states:

“I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.”

Thank you Lord for this chance at this time.

God bless you all.
