Call to Bar ceremony is a day slated to commemorate with the successful Law School Students who against all odds scaled through the Bar Part II Examination Final to wit, the magician word would be pronounced on them in order to welcome them into the most noble Legal Profession which has been in existence since time immemorial.

On that special day, friends,families and well-wishers would graciously attend the occasion to jubilate with the respective successful students who had made them and their respective communities absolutely proud and worthy of emulation as smile and laughter will be seen on their respective faces even to the extent of bringing their village, town and city Kings, Queens and Dignitaries as the case may be to the venue of the ceremony.

Forsooth, it’s an august day in which both the celebrants, friends and families cannot in a jiffy let out of their memory because all those in the highest ladder of the Legal Profession starting with Body of Benchers who are legally responsible for the Call to Bar of the Aspirants to the Legal Profession and host of other known bodies in the Legal Profession would gladly attend, shake hands with the New Wigs etc. however, due to the Covid -19 Pandemic, the shaking of hands might not be foreseeable this time around. After all these the New Wigs will be given their Qualifying and Call to Bar Certificate respectively.., which mark the beginning of their Legal Profession.

After the Call to Bar Ceremony, WHAT NEXT? What is next in line for the New Wigs to do as a Solicitors and Advocate of the Supreme Court of the Federal Republic of Nigeria? This is one major question running down the mind of the newly crowned Legal Practitioners. After all the up and down they had encountered in the race or journey to study law and become a Lawyer, the sky must really be their starting point. The New Wigs should still have it at the back of their mind that, the Legal Profession is a Professional Business to wit it must be handle with utmost care, diligent, sincerity, discipline, hard-work, punctuality etc. with the major driver which is passion for the Legal Profession which would be the engine through which the vehicle moves from one point to another.

In conclusion, absolutely, the ball is in the hands of the New Wigs to become who they dreams to become through the instrumentality of the Legal Profession. The New Wig can stencil the world to any shape they desire it to be because it has been place in their hands through their passion for choosing the Legal Profession. There is absolutely nothing beyond your reach as a New Wigs… go and make a different in the Legal Profession world.
