The President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mr. Olumide Akpata has expressed concern over the abduction of scores of students in Katsina State, thereby calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to do more in the fight against insecurity.
The NBA President expressed this via his Twitter handle on Sunday.
“The Nigerian Bar Association has received with deep concern, the news of the attack on the Government Science Secondary School, Kankara in Katsina State by yet to be identified gunmen which resulted in the abduction of dozens of innocent schoolboys, with many others unaccounted for.
“The Nigerian Bar Association calls on President Muhammadu Buhari to do more in the fight against insurgency and insecurity in Nigeria especially in the North East and the North West Geopolitical Zones.”
Besides, the NBA President stressed that the responsibility of every Government is to protect the lives of its citizens.
