One of the Patrons of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ibadan (Premier Bar) Branch, Mr. Emmanuel Abiodun is dead.

The deceased who is fondly called ‘Baba’ passed on today and has been extolled for his several virtues.

Baba has led a life worthy of emulation and admiration which endeared many members of the Legal Profession to him.

In a statement issued by Ibrahim Lawal, Esq., which was made available to TheNigeriaLawyer, he described him as an encyclopedia of the Bar.

He said “Baba Emmanuel Abiodun until his death was the patron of the NBA Ibadan Branch, an encyclopedia of the Bar and a humour merchant. Baba was honest, compassionate and generous. If you are fortunate to meet baba in court outside jurisdiction, you are sure of a sumptuous meal regardless of the numbers of lawyers in that court. Baba consistently provides dinner for Ibadan Bar at the NBA National conference regardless of where it is taking place.

“Do you want to mention assistance in terms of professional development? What you only need is to approach baba, and your problem is solved.

“Baba Emmanuel Abiodun is a memory that cannot be forgotten. May God Almighty forgive his shortcomings and grant him paradise.”

Another concerned Lawyer noted that Baba had mentored several Lawyers and led a life worthy of emulation.

“I got hinted of the passing away of the legendary Pa Emmanuel Abiodun just few minutes ago. To God be the glory that baba lived a life worthy of emulation and was a mentor to hundreds of lawyers (both old and young). May baba’s soul rest eternally in the bosom of the Almighty God. Adieu Baba Emmanuel Abiodun”, he said.
