The Magistrate Court, sitting at Ifo, Ogun State has concluded the prosecution of the Fake Lawyer, Tajudeen Idris.
According to the Publicity Relation Officer of the Nigerian Bar Association, Chinelo Nonyelu – Olayanju who gave a breakdown of what happened in the case, the court will deliver judgment on February 8.
“In the matter of COP v Tajudeen Idris holding at Magistrate Court 3, Ifo on the 29th day of December, 2020, the Defendant was not in court and the Defence Counsel sought to withdraw his appearance for the Defendant.
The nominal complainant was present. O.O. Ogedengbe Esq. for NBA, Ota.”
The court granted the application of the Defence Counsel and the matter was adjourned for the last time at the instance of the Defendant till the 6th day of January, 2021 for Defence.
On the 6th day of January, 2021, the Prosecution was present,while the Defendant was absent and there was no Defence Counsel in court. The Nominal Complainant was present in court and O.O. Ogedengbe Esq. appeared for NBA Ota.
The matter was again adjourned till the 11th January, of 2021 at the instance of the Defendant for Definite Hearing.
On the 11th day of January, 2021 the matter came up at the Magistrate Court, Ifo, Ogun State.
The Defendant was absent in court again making it the 6th time that the Defendant had been absent from court. The Prosecution was in court.
The court thereafter adjourned the matter to the 8th day of February, 2021 for judgement.
