The NBA young Lawyers’ Forum has always been my primary constituency. This is mainly because I can hardly find any meaningful achievement I’ve made in the profession (if any) without same attributable to my participation and molding in the forum.

My enthusiasm for service in the bar all came from the opportunity to given to me to serve the forum in various capacities some of which are; National Publicity Secretary and the Secretary of the Calabar Branch of the forum. I must say, that we are the future of this profession.

There could not have been a better time to organize this summit. The theme (Repositioning Young Lawyers for Excellence in an age of Digital Disruption, Economic Meltdown and Socio-Political Pressures) represents the current realities facing us as young lawyers in today’s practice and a discourse on this theme couldn’t be more timely.

I felicitate with the Governing Council of the Young Lawyers Forum on the organization of this Summit and wish all delegates and guests a wonderful experience in the summit.
