In the days of yore, cannibalism was a common practice in Nigeria.

In February 1999, an alleged cannibal, Clifford Orji was arrested for human flesh eating and selling.

After his arrest, freshly cooked soups with human bones, legs & hands were discovered at his make-shift home at the popular Toyota Bus Stop on the Oshodi-Isolo Expressway.

In August 2012, Orji died in his sleep after over 19 years of detention without being tried by a court of law.
