Managing Partner of Southgate Solicitors and frontline candidate for the office of Secretary of the Lagos Branch of the Nigeria Bar Association, Mr Shola Abiloye has pledged to ensure that transparency, accountability and financial prudence which are fundamental features of good governance are upheld under his watch as scribe of the branch.

Mr Abiloye who has been applauded by members of the branch for his well thought out manifesto disclosed that transparency in handling the activities of the branch secretariat will be the watchword in the management of the branch assets and resources.

“ when elected as the Branch Secretary, I will ensure that transparency will be the watchword in the management of the Association’s resources including its finances and assets. I shall run the Branch Secretariat in a transparent manner by regularly presenting the secretariat report to members of the Branch.”
Mr Abiloye also recognised that the current leadership of the Branch has performed excellently in entrenching the principles of corporate governance in running the affairas of the Branch.

“ The current excos have tried in entrenching good corporate governance practice and in this regard, I want to assure members of the Branch that as Secretary, it will be my duty to sustain and strengthen this laudable legacy” .
