The meeting between the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, PASAN and the leadership of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, today failed to hold for the second time.
The meeting which was earlier rescheduled for 13th of April 2021, again could not proceed as planned.
It was gathered that today’s meeting was to commence by 3pm, however Labour leaders were kept at the Conference Room for more than 2 hours with the Labour Minister sitted in his office.
According to our source, “JUSUN, PASAN Just Walked Out After the Minister of Labour Sat in his Office and Kept The Union Leaders Waiting in the Conference room for more than 2 hours without apology for a meeting that was to commence at 3 pm”.
The essence was to resolve the ongoing industrial action embarked upon by members JUSUN, and Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria.
Earlier insinuation was that the industrial action will be called off in the light of the proposal made by the Nigerian Governors Forum.
