The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has reported 1,479 new COVID-19 infections in the country.

The health agency disclosed this via its verified Twitter account on Thursday night.

The centre also confirmed 23 new deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the nation’s death toll to 1,405.

It added that the new infections were recorded from 24 States and the Federal Capital Territory, in the last 24 hours.

It disclosed that Lagos recorded the highest toll with 697 cases followed by FCT, 201.
