The Chairman of the Mid-West Bar Forum, Chike Onyemenam, SAN has charged members of the Forum to be steadfast in their resolve in favour of what is right as they see the end of the year 2020, in what he describes as a challenging year.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Forum Chairman which was made available to TheNigeriaLawyer.

The Chairman “sends end of year Christmas Greetings to Senior Advocates, Bar Leaders, N.B.A. Branch Chairmen and Members of the Mid-West Bar Forum, thanking God for seeing its Members and indeed the entire Nation through the year 2020, a year he described as one of the most trying and challenging in the Nation’s history and prayed that Members of the Forum remain focused and united and for God to imbibe in all ” by the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, the Prince of peace, who is the way, the truth and the life, the spirit of peace, love and reconciliation with all mankind”.

Meanwhile, he added that the members should note that nothing good comes easy “and that whenever one stands for the truth, you are bound to encounter resistance, but like Jesus Christ who stood for the truth, was tormented and tortured, but came out triumphant”.

Consequently, he charges the members of the Forum to be forthright in unity of purpose and in upholding what is right in the interest of the Forum.

‘Forum and its Members must remain resolute and united in their stand for what is right, so that a good legacy be passed unto our younger generation of professional Colleagues’
