Human Rights Activist, Mr. Inibehe Effiong has appealed to the President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mr. Olumide Akpata to urgently intervene by directing the Branches of the Association to set up a legal team, to represent #EndSARS arrested protesters for free.
This request was made vide his tweet handle on Saturday.
“Dear @OlumideAkpata,
“As a registered member of the @NigBarAssoc, I urge you to urgently direct all branches of the NBA to set-up Pro Bono legal defence committees to represent #EndSARS protesters arrested across the country”, he said.
Meanwhile, he also noted that the Human Rights Committee of the various Branches can also be used in the circumstances.
“The Branch human right committees can also do this.” He said.
