Four workers of a microfinance bank were on Wednesday arraigned at a Federal High Court in Osogbo, Osun State for alleged N14,273,770 fraud.
The defendants Aderinlowo Joseph, Oyinlola Abimbola, Sotomi Abosede and Bello Rasaq were charged with conspiracy, stealing and cybercrime.
Prosecutor Francis Osei said the defendants, all officials of Otan-Ayegbaju Microfinance Bank, collected the money from customers and converted it to their personal use without depositing it, as the customers intended.
Osei said the alleged crime was committed between 2016 and December 2019.
The defendants pleaded not guilty.
Justice Peter Lifu adjourned the case to November 3, 2020.
