The Judicial Service Commission of Akwa Ibom State has called the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Eket Branch, Akwa Ibom State to nominate suitable candidates for appointment as Judges of State High Court.

This is contained in a letter written to the Branch Chairman, dated 7th day of August, 2020 with reference no. JSC/AKS/S/8/S.1/VOL.II/984 signed by the Commission Secretary, Ekpris Gladstone Urujzian, Esq., which sighted by  LEGALDESKNG  with the title “CALL FOR NOMINATION FOR APPOINTMENT INTO THE STATE HIGH COURT”.

Meanwhile, the letter noted that there are limited vacancies available for the said appointment.

“Limited vacancies exist in the Judiciary of the State for appointment into the Higher Bench as Judge of the State High Court.

“In view of the above, I am directed to request you to nominate suitable candidates for appointment as Judges of the High Court of the State.”

However, the nomination is expected to be done within two weeks from 7th August, 2020.

“I am further directed to request that you forward the names of your nominees to reach this office within two (2) weeks of the date of this letter.” The letter concluded.
