The Bayelsa State government has lifted ban on mid-week church services and programmes in the state.
Governor Douye Diri announced this when he received the leadership of the state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria at the Government House, Yenagoa.
In a Government House statement, Diri urged church leaders to continue to observe all COVID-19 safety guidelines.
He said this would help check further spread of the virus.
The governor had in May approved congregation of not more than 200 people in churches on Sundays but suspended mid-week activities.
