It has come to the attention of the Chairman and the Executive Council of LOAN, AKWA IBOM STATE CHAPTER that certain elements within the chapter have taken it upon themselves to mislead and misinform the general public, particularly the legal community in Nigeria, that certain candidates contesting for the Presidency of NBA have been adopted by LOAN Akwa Ibom State, as the preferred candidate for the forthcoming NBA election.

We hereby state categorically and unequivocally that no such thing has transpired, nor has it been contemplated or considered, as LOAN, AKS has not held any meeting for any such purpose at all. We state that this is the work of mischief makers and selfish individuals who are striving to divide LOAN AKS and put our integrity to question before the legal community in Akwa Ibom State in particular and Nigeria in general.

We take strong exceptions to those write ups and disassociate ourselves from them in their entirety as they absolutely do not represent our position as regards the forthcoming NBA elections.

We therefore urge our National LOAN and NBA to disregard and discountenance same or any such treatise purported to emanate from us as we are not a party to any such contraption.

We remain focused in the fight for our welfare and well being and will resist any attempt by a few individuals to drag us into any campaign of calumny.
