The Nigerian Air Force, operating under the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), has successfully carried out a precision night airstrike in Degbewa and Chikide, Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State, neutralizing a significant number of Boko Haram terrorists and destroying key terrorist structures.

Security analyst, Zagazola Makama, with deep expertise in insurgency issues in the North-east revealed this on X on Wednesday.

The airstrikes were aimed at high-profile Boko Haram leaders following reports of a mass gathering of insurgents in the area.

The operation, which occurred on Tuesday evening, specifically targeted camps under the command of Ali Ngulde, a notorious Boko Haram leader.

It was reported that the attack resulted in several terrorists being eliminated, while others sustained injuries.

The strike also led to the destruction of critical terrorist hideouts, dealing a major blow to the insurgency in the region.
