Super Eagles caretaker coach, Augustine Eguavoen has praised the quality of local-based players invited for the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier against Ghana.

Eguavoen last week summoned 35 players to camp for the encounter against Black Galaxies.

The team started preparations for the game in Abuja on Wednesday.
A highly impressed Eguavoen praised the players for their technical ability.

“Very impressive, only two training sessions, but you can see that technically they are very good,” Eguavoen said, per NFF TV.

“We still have a lot of work to do because they are coming from different clubs. We have to try to see how we can blend them into one unit.”

The team will regroup next week after the players left for their respective clubs to take part in this weekend’s Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) games.
