Mr Khalid Aminu, an activist who was detained by the President Bola Tinubu regime for 11 weeks for participating in the #EndBadGovernance protest held between August 1 to 10 has shared his undoubting spirit.Khalid Aminu

Newsmen reported on Thursday that the Federal High Court in Kaduna Judicial Division discharged the three detained #EndBadGovernance protesters namely Usman Isa Adebayo, Salihu Shuaibu and Khalid Aminu.

On October 4, Newsmen reported that the detained #EndBadGovernance protesters, Usman Isa Adebayo, Salihu Shuaibu and Khalid Aminu had filed a motion for their bail at the Federal High Court in Kaduna Judicial Division.

However, when the matter came up on Thursday October 17, 2024 the activists were discharged of all the trump-up charges against them.

At the resumed hearing, the DSS prosecutor had applied to withdraw the charges against them.

Consequently the trial judge struck out the case for want of evidence.
Aminu, however, took to his X account sharing two pictures of himself one when he was picked by the lawless operatives of the Nigerian secret police Department of State Services (DSS) and another how he looked after he was released on Thursday.

Thanking the Convener #RevolutionNow Movement and presidential candidate of African Action Congress (AAC) in the 2023 general election, Comrade Omoyele Sowore and others for their solidarity, Aminu revealed that though confined in body, his spirit remained intact—unyielding in the face of oppression.

He wrote: “Today, the chains of 11 weeks of unjust detention by the @OfficialDSSNG have fallen. Their accusations dissolved before the Federal High Court in Kaduna, where the case against me—rooted in my stand for justice in the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest—was struck out.

“Below is a picture of how I was taken and how I was returned. Judge for yourself.

“Though confined in body, my spirit remained intact—unyielding in the face of oppression.

“To my Dad @Ibnwalee, @YeleSowore, @IsiyakuDanlawan, @Lonnewulff, @Lameenkolos, @ShehuSani, @jibreelKhalil, @Citizen_SYusuf, @saadatumadaki, @Bald_Pascal and to all who stood with me, your solidarity transcends gratitude. You are the pillars upon which this journey stands.”
