Officials from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have raided some residences and alleged hideouts at Osubi in the Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State.

SaharaReporters gathered that many individuals suspected to be engaging in illicit drugs were arrested during the raid on Sunday night.
The NDLEA arrested many members of drugs dealers and buyers in Osubi yesterday night.

They reportedly came with over 10 buses and went away with many people.
The agency’s spokesman, Femi Babafemi who confirmed the raid to SaharaReporters on Monday, noted that it was a joint operation.

“It was a joint operation that involved NDLEA and other security agencies in the state, and only four suspects were arrested,” he said.

Officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had in September conducted a sting operation on Osubi and apprehended individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud.

The operation was carried out at different hotels and apartments on Sunday, an authoritative source confirmed to SaharaReporters on Monday.
SaharaReporters also gathered that the operatives arrested several suspected internet fraudsters and visitors who lodged in the hotels during the operation.
