Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has offered advice to controversial social media personality Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, in light of his recent contemplation of suicide.
Portable urged Bobrisky to “repent from sinful ways” and reconsider his lifestyle choices. This advice came shortly after Bobrisky expressed feelings of despair and indicated suicidal thoughts following an incriminating audio recording released by social media influencer Martins Otse, affectionately known as VeryDarkMan.
The recording alleged that Bobrisky paid ₦15 million in bribes to certain officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to drop his money laundering charges.
In response to these allegations, the EFCC invited both VeryDarkMan and Bobrisky for questioning regarding the bribery claims.
The Chairman of the EFCC, Ola Olukoyede, has also ordered an immediate investigation into the alleged bribery by Bobrisky involving some of the Commission’s officers.
Following this allegation, the EFCC invited VeryDarkMan and Bobrisky, over bribery allegations against personnel of the Commission.
The Chairman of the Commission, Ola Olukoyede, also ordered an immediate investigation into the alleged bribery of some officers of the commission by Bobrisky.
Earlier on Thursday, Bobrisky took to his official Instagram page to vent his frustration over the public attacks, revealing his suicidal thoughts in a now-deleted post.
Reacting to the post via Instagram, Portable advised Bobrisky not to consider suicide but to repent from her sinful ways.
He urged Bobrisky to seek God’s forgiveness and embrace a journey of redemption.
Portable also emphasised that seeking forgiveness is crucial for her personal growth and well-being.
“Bobrisky, life is risky. God does not want sinners to die. Tell him to repent. Damn it to any sinner that does not repent. If you die, you are going to hell. Beg God to forgive you. God does not want a sinner to die.
“Help me tell Bobrisky to ask God for forgiveness. All Bobrisky needs is to ask God for forgiveness of sin. What Bobrisky is facing now, if he repents, he will enjoy the world. But if he does not repent.”
