Dear Colleagues,

Happy New Month and welcome to August!

This month marks a significant period for us as we embark on our journey toward a more proactive and progressive Nigerian Bar Association.

As we face economic challenges that have sparked widespread concerns, it is crucial to remember that the right to protest is a fundamental aspect of our democracy. As legal professionals, we are uniquely positioned to support those who seek to express their grievances through peaceful protest. It is our duty to ensure that the voices of the oppressed are heard and that justice prevails.

I encourage all lawyers to stand up for our nation and be the pillars of support our citizens need during these times. Let us volunteer our time and expertise to provide pro bono legal services to those who may need them as a result of the protests. Together, we can help protect the rights of those who may face legal challenges.

As we move forward this month, let us focus on innovation, collaboration, and impactful change. We must come together as a united force dedicated to justice, fairness, and the protection of human rights.

Wishing you all a productive and fulfilling August. Together, we can make a difference.
