The Nasarawa State Judiciary has officially announced the commencement of the first Lafia Appeal session for the year 2024.
According to a notice issued by the Chief Judge’s Chambers, the session is set to begin on June 3, 2024, and will conclude on June 21, 2024.
The notice, addressed to the Chairman of the Nigeria Bar Association, Lafia Branch, was issued under the instructions of the Chief Judge of Nasarawa State and Chairman of the Judicial Service Commission, Lafia, Hon. Justice Aisha Bashir Aliyu.
The appeal session will kick off with a Call-over at the High Court 2, Lafia, on June 3, 2024, at 9:00 am. Legal practitioners and concerned parties are advised to take note of the dates and venue for the session.
The announcement was signed by Mohammed Umar Zanwa Esq., the Deputy Chief Registrar Litigation, on behalf of the Chief Judge. The Nasarawa State Judiciary looks forward to a successful and productive appeal session, as it continues to uphold justice and the rule of law in the state.
The strike, which is expected to involve workers from various sectors across the country, could potentially disrupt the smooth functioning of the judiciary and other government institutions.
