The Chief Imam and Missioner of Ansaruldeen Society of Nigeria, Northern States Council, Sheikh Muyideen Ajani Bello has enjoined Muslims across the country to spend from what God has given them in the cause of Islam.
Bello made this appeal while delivering a Ramadan lecture on Monday, organised by Ajibode Oke-Ona Muslim Community, Ajibode Ibadan.
While addressing the gathering, the Missioner said the best among Muslims are those who spend part of their wealth on the cause of Islam.
He advised Muslims not to be miserly but to be cheerful givers, adding that anyone who spends from what God has given him or her in the cause of Islam has rewards on earth and hereafter.
Bello also prayed for Nigeria to overcome the present socio-economic challenges.
He also prayed for the Chief Imam and other donors who were present and those who sent representatives.
“Muslims should always spend from what God has given them. Spend from what you have. You will get many rewards.
“Muslims should not be misers. Anyone who spends from what God has given to him or her has multiple rewards here on earth and hereafter”.
