Chairman Makurdi branch of Nigerian Bar Association J. K. Ishember Esq., has suspended its meet for the month of March and other activities following the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Publicity Secretary, A.O.Aruta, disclosed this in his statement, Wednesday stating that activities of the branch which involves gathering is hereby suspended indefinitely.

The statement reads:

“The spread and deadly effect of corona virus in our immediate environment is no longer news. Health authorities have advised that staying away from crowded places and gatherings is one of the surest way of preventing spread of this virus.

“The Executive Committee of NBA Makurdi branch led by J. K. Ishember Esq. held her meeting today being 24th day of March, 2020. It was resolved that all activities of the branch involving gathering of members be suspended.

“This suspension affects the monthly general meeting of Thursday 26th March, 2020. It also affects the Ground Breaking Ceremony earlier Scheduled to take place this month until further notice as same shall hold on a latter date to be announced as soon as situation improves.

“The friendly Match between Makurdi NBA and NBA Abuja is aso postponed sine die.

“Members of our dear branch are advised to take necessary and adequate preventive measures in their individual offices.”
