AVM Hassan Alhaji, Commandant of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC) Jaji, says the Federal Government is committed to relieving Nigerians of the everyday burden caused by the current economic crisis.
Alhaji made the remarks while speaking to reporters after a field exercise named “Excercise Ubiak-Isin” for participants of Junior Course 96.
The exercise included free medical outreach and palliative distribution to the Jaji military cantonment host population.
The AFCSC organizes Ubiak-Isin, a bi-annual exercise, to examine students’ understanding of counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency operations.
Alhaji stated that the institution was concerned about the well-being of Aborigines in the military cantonment, which called for the college to exercise corporate social responsibility regularly.
He described the Jaji military cantonment as a ‘huge piece’ of Kaduna State, adding that the medical retreat and palliatives distribution to its host towns were intended to inform the residents that the college was there for them.
The commandant stated that the exercise was designed to make the participants better officers by using all their knowledge.
