The order holds until the hearing and determination of a motion on notice.

The presiding judge, Justice Aisha Ya’u, granted the interim injunction on Tuesday evening after considering a motion ex-parte presented by Barr. B.I Usman, counsel to the applicants.

The motion, dated October 30, 2023, included an accompanying affidavit sworn by the applicants themselves.

According to the order, the defendants, their agents, privies, or anyone claiming to act on their behalf, are prohibited from taking any further steps in organising or conducting the election until the hearing of the motion on notice.

The case has been adjourned until November 7, 2023, to allow for a proper hearing.

The applicants in the case include Kubura Adamu, Hauwa Magashi, Fatima Mohammed, Binta Adamu, and others.

On the other hand, the respondents are the incorporated trustees of NCWS, Lami Lau, Hadiza Kishimi, Maimuna Garba, and others.
