Bauchi State governor, Bala Mohammed, has sworn in and assigned portfolios to 24 commissioners.
The state chief judge, Justice Talatu Umar, administered the oath of office and allegiance to the appointees at the swearing-in ceremony that took place at the Government House on Monday.
In his address, Mohammed charged the new appointees to dedicate themselves to service while urging them to carry the people along.
He also charged them to be guided by knowledge in striving to meet their expectations and establish effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders in discharging their duties
“It should be made known to you that you have not been appointed to enrich yourselves or pursue selfish political ambitions. What is required of you is sacrifice and selfless service,” he said.
While congratulating the commissioners for the opportunity to serve the state, Gov Mohammed reminded them that although they have been chosen as representatives of their respective constituents, their appointment was based on competence, track records of performance, and integrity.

3. Danlami Ahmad Kawule – Ministry of Housing and Environment
4. Mahmoud Baba Maaji Abubakar -Ministry Commerce and Industry
5. Dr Lydia H. Tsammani – Ministry of Higher Education
6. Ahmad Aliyu Jalam – Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs
7. Usman Danturaki Garba – Ministry of Information and Communications
8. Yakubu Ibrahim Hamza – Ministry of Religious Affairs and Social Reorientation
9. Mohammed Salees -Ministry of Youth and Sports Development
10. Abdul Hassan -Ministry of Culture and Tourism
11. Dr Yakubu Adamu – Ministry of Finance
