The Zamfara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has deployed 485 personnel for security coverage before, during and after the 2023 Eid Kabir celebration in the state.

This was disclosed to newsmen in Gusau, the State capital, by the Commandant, Sani Mustapha, saying that he had already presented the operation order designed for the Sallah coverage in the State Command headquarters in Gusau.

He opined that the security and peaceful celebration of this year’s Eid Kabir is sacrosanct, reiterating that no stone will be left unturned during this holy festive period.

The State NSCDC boss affirmed that the Corps, in collaboration with other sister agencies, is poised to make Zamfara State crime-free.

Mustapha emphasized that deployment has been made to all nooks and crannies of the State, including perceived black spots.

“All relevant units and Department have been efficiently galvanized to ensure a hitch free celebration,” he added.

He warned that Zamfara State will no longer be a comfortable zone for criminals and miscreants who intend to hibernate.

Mustapha, therefore, advised saboteurs whose aim is to truncate the peace in the state to relocate.

The State NSCDC enjoined the general public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious movement to relevant authorities, assuring commuters and holiday makers of a secure atmosphere for the celebration.

He wished the Muslim faithful in Zamfara State a happy Sallah celebration.
