The Enugu State Government has charged Rangers players to win the 2023 Federation Cup.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Chris Mbah, challenged the players to make the state proud after the team’s training session on Tuesday.
Mbah urged the players to replicate the miracle of Asaba 2018 when they defeated Kano Pillars to lift the trophy.
“You have to show commitment, and seriousness to bring the image of the state and your own image up because football is all about strength, skill, commitment, and teamwork,” Mbah stated in a chat with the players.
“Exhibit teamwork, and remain disciplined because you have a sound technical team. I believe this is the best time to appreciate the technical team’s efforts.
“You should try and replicate the memories of Asaba 2018 were we won the trophy against Kano Pillars.”
Rangers will take on Bendel Insurance in the final at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, next Wednesday.
