Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has warned petroleum marketers as well as owners of fuel stations in the state against hoarding Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, popularly known as petrol.
According to Akeredolu, the warning became imperative after long queues surfaced at filling stations across the state, particularly in Akure, the state capital.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde, the governor instructed that all petrol stations in the state should dispense fuel in their tanks to relieve the people of the long hours spent at fuel stations.
Meanwhile, Akeredolu directed the Governor’s Task Force to move around the state and deal decisively with any fuel station hoarding the product.
Recall that scarcity of the product has reappeared in the state since Tuesday, with the situation resulting in long queues as some filling stations refused to dispense the product to customers.
