Operatives of Operation Haderin Daji, a component of the Nigeria Military, on Thursday said troops conducted a fighting patrol at the bandits’ enclave and neutralized two terrorists while others fled with various degrees of injuries.

Newsmen learnt that the offensive occurred at Doka village, Gando Forest, in Anka Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

Major General Musa Danmadami, the Director, Defence Media Operations, in a press statement, noted that during the patrol, troops came in contact with bandits and engaged them on a fire for fire operation.

Danmadami explained that during the operation, one of the neutralized terrorists was identified as Mr Ibrahim Chire, a notorious bandits’ leader known for terrorizing Gando, Gwashi, Bukkuyum and Anka Local Government Area of the State.

He noted that the troops recovered one AK-47, 4 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, one motorcycle, mobile phones, among others.

He said that the military high command commended troops of Operation HADARIN DAJI and encouraged the general public to avail troops with credible and timely information on criminal activities.
