Paul Pogba has revealed he was held at gunpoint by two men who demanded the Juventus star pay them £11million.

Pogba’s claim has come after his brother, Mathias, was arrested in an ongoing investigation into attempted extortion. The Juventus man had been walking to an apartment in Chanteloup-en-Brie when the incident occurred.

“I was scared. The two guys pointed their guns at me. Suddenly, being pointed like this under threat, I told them that I was going to pay. They were shouting: ‘Shut up, look down’. When the hooded guys leave, I was told that I had to pay them, otherwise we were all in danger,” he told police, according to Le Monde.

Pogba filed his complaint in July, and five suspects have now been detained two months later.

Mathias is one of the five that has been arrested on counts including extortion in a criminal gang and participation in a criminal association with a view to preparing a crime. However, there is no suggestion that Mathias was one of the gunmen.

This young Nigerian is Paul Pogba’s biggest fan, he even goes by the name Pogba Junior on social media.

Mathias’ lawyer, Yassine Bouzrou, has denied the accusations: “We contest this decision and everything will be done to ensure that Mr. Pogba is released quickly.”

Pogba is currently out-if-action after undergoing surgery, which could prevent the superstar from making France’s side for the upcoming World Cup.

But as he rests up, according to La Parisien, the Frenchman has been placed under police protection in Italy.
