POWER OF A POLICE OFFICER TO TAKE PHOTOGRAPH (ETC) OF A DETAINEE
In Nigeria, a Police officer may take photographs, measurements, and fingerprint impressions of all persons who are in lawful custody
However, where such person is discharged or acquitted by a court, all records relating to such photographs, measurements and fingerprint impressions shall either be destroyed or handed over to such person.
