Mr. Chuku Anugo Offor, the Secretary of Aguata branch of the NBA has been released on bail yesterday by the Police.

This information is contained in a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Mr. Kunle Edun and made available to TheNigeriaLawyer (TNL). He said he has personally spoken with Mr. Offor and the said Offor is now with his family.

TNL recalls that the NBA had published Mr. Offor’s travails yesterday 10th of January, 2020 and the intervention of the 1st Vice President and the General Secretary of the NBA on efforts to get him released.

A family which described itself as the “Accredited Ezeagu Family of Umuoleoha Kindred, Akwu Autonomous Community Akokwa Town, Ideato-North LGA, of Imo State”, had, on the other hand, responded to NBA accusing Chukwu Anugo Offor of introducing anarchy and discord in the family.

They accused him and Echezona Ezeagu, Esq., of carting away all original titled documents of the deceased including but not limited to cash of $185, 000, 000 and Nigerian Naira valued at N200, 000, 000 meant for their late brother’s treatment Abroad and a briefcase containing Title Deeds and Share Certificates.
