President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Garba Abubakar as the substantive Registrar-General of the Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC. TheNigerialawyer reports
Until his appointment, Mr Abubakar is the Director, Compliance at the commission.
This was contained in a letter dated the 7th day of January, 2020, with reference number: SH/COS/42/3/A/507, and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the President, Abba Kyari.
In the letter which was addressed to the Honorable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, and the Secretary to the Government, it was stated that the tenure of the appointments should be in line with the provisions of the Company and Allied Matters Act.
TheNigerialawyer recalls that the based the CCT chairman, Justice Danladi Umar had earlier ordered that Lady Azuka step aside as Acting Registrar General of the CAC, pending the hearing and determination of the matter before it.
TNL also recalls that Saratu Shafii has been earlier asked to replace Lady Azinge before this current appointment.
