Contracts Of Employment Must Be Issued Within 3 Months Of Employment
In Nigeria, Employers must issue their Workers a written Contract of Employment within three (3) months of the commencement of the employment.
See Section 7 of the Labour Act.
Contracts of employment are very essential as they protect the parties in event of termination, resignation or wage dispute.
Where there is a breach, the aggrieved party can enforce his rights at the National Industrial Court of Nigeria.
