Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has sworn in Chinelo Chidubem Odili as a Judge in the Rivers State Judiciary.

Chinelo is a daughter of former Rivers Governor, Peter Odili, and top justice at the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Justice Mary Odili.

Chief Justice of Nigeria, Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad, had last month sworn in Chinelo’s elder sister, Njideka Nwosu Iheme as judge of the Federal High Court.

The younger Odili was sworn in alongside three other judges including, Popnen Sylvester Sunday, Daketima Gabriel Kio and Nsirim Chinwe Amanda.

Before their elevation, Justice Popnen S.Sunday and Justice Daketima G. Kio were both private legal practitioners, while Justices Nsirim and Chinelo Odili were Chief Magistrates.

Recall that the residence of Justice Odili in the Federal Capital Territory was recently invaded by some individuals, who claimed they were acting on Federal Government’s directive.
