The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is considering hiring Mladen Krstajic as Gernot Rohr’s replacement, BBC Africa reports.

Rohr’s role as the head coach of the Super Eagles is under scrutiny as the team barely scraped through to the 2022 World Cup play-offs.

In their last two home fixtures, Nigeria lost to the Central African Republic (CAR) and drew with Cape Verde.

There are speculations that Rohr is in negotiation with the NFF over the termination of his contract.

The football house is already looking at Krstajic, who led Serbia to the 2018 FIFA World Cup staged in Russia.

The 47-year-old managed the team from 2017 to 2019 and recently quit as manager of FK TSC Bačka Topola, a Serbian SuperLiga side, last October, after just 10 months in charge.
