Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has addressed the conflict in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the 2023 polls.
The leading opposition platform is seemingly fractured over the outcome of the May presidential convention in Abuja.
Atiku emerged as the flagbearer ahead of his main challenger, Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike.
Wike has been blowing hot, attacking the Atiku camp and allies including PDP chair Iyorchia Ayu and Uche Secondus.
At the 97th National Executive Council (NEC) meeting on Thursday, the ex-VP expressed commitment to ensuring resolution of the internal crisis.
The Wazirin Adamwa noted that “family disagreements” are normal even in normal families and political families.
“What I can assure you is that we are determined to resolve those issues internally.
“There are not really fundamental disagreements, it is normal,” the presidential candidate said.
Atiku appealed to members to see that issues were resolved internally within the provisions of the party’s constitution.
