YOUNG PERSONS IN EMPLOYMENT NOT TO BE PAID MONTHLY

In Nigeria, a young person under the age of fourteen (14) years may only be employed-

• On a daily wage;
• On a day-to-day basis; and
• So long as he returns each night to the place of residence of his parents or guardian.

NOTE: This provision does not apply to persons in domestic service.

See Section 59(3) of the Labour Act.
