Napoli forward Victor Osimhen equalled another record in Serie A after firing a brace in Napoli’s 4-0 win at Torino on Sunday.

Osimhen increased his goal haul in the Italian top-flight this season to 21 from 23 games after his impressive display at the Stadio Olimpico Grande.

The Nigeria international equalled the record set by former Cameroon international Samuel Eto’o at Inter Milan in the 2010-11 season for the most goals from an African player in a top-flight campaign.

With over months left before the end of the season, the 24-year-old has enough time to break that record.

Osimhen is also two goals away from becoming the highest-scoring African in the history of Serie A.

Former AC Milan striker George Weah, the current president of Liberia, holds that enviable record.
