The COVID-19 incursion necessitated a series of adjustments in the justice delivery system in Nigeria, particularly in the areas of e-filing and remote hearing.

Although counsel warmed up to this new normal, it was fraught with so many issues. While counsel and litigants didn’t have to stay in physical queues to have their processes assessed or paid for, they now have to wait on ‘virtual queues’ for days unend to have their processes assessed or their payment confirmed.

In short, e-filing hasn’t been entirely seamless…until now.

Now, E-filing as we know it is changing, and history is being made!

Imagine a platform where counsel or litigants can automatically and instantly have their processes assessed, paid for, and properly filed with the filed processes automatically synced into the court’s record – all within the twinkle of an eye. That is what the Ondo State Judiciary, in conjunction with LawPavilion, has implemented.

This unprecedented feat will be launched on Wednesday, 29th of July, 2020, by 12noon via Microsoft Teams will be hosted by the Honourable Chief Judge of Ondo State, Hon. Justice Oluwatoyin Akeredolu.

Dignitaries, led by the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, as the special guest of honour, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Ondo State, Kola Olawoye, SAN, UNODC Country Representative, Nigeria- Dr. Oliver Stolpe as the Special Guests, eminent judges and other stakeholders in the justice sector will be in attendance.

The launching is open to all Justice sector stakeholders, Legal Practitioners, Court Officials, Law enforcement agencies, litigants, and the general public.
