The newly elected, National President of Nigeria Bar Association , Mr Y.C. Maiksau( SAN) has been implored to make the welfare and development of the Bar and Bench his top most priority.
This is contained in a congratulatory statement by the Chairman, NBA Gwagwalada Branch (Eagle Bar) Mr. Emmanuel Tayo Ogunjide on behalf of the Executives and members of the branch to the New National Exco of NBA..

While congratulating Mr. Maikyau, (SAN) and his new Executives on their recent election and eventual inaugurations at the National NBA Conference held in Lagos recently, Mr Ogunjide expressed confidence and conviction in the ability of the Maikyau led new National Exco .

Expressing great hope and strong optimism going by the antecedents and calibre of those at the new helm of affairs to steer the leadership of the NBA, Mr Ogunjide added that a wind of change and development will no doubt hold sway .

The congratulatory statement of the Chairman, Gwagwalada Branch of NBA to the new National President reads in part

“Mr Maikyau is a household name when it comes to living up to the yearnings and aspirations of members of this noble profession of ours.

“It is on record that as the immediate past Welfare Committee Chairman of the erstwhile NBA leadership, Mr Maikyau helped the immediate past President,Mr Olumide Akpata ( SAN) to make tremendous breakthroughs especially in the area of sumptuous welfare packages for the young and Senior lawyers as ever experienced in the history of the members of the Bar generally.

“On this premise, I wish to state without any let or hinderance that the sky will be starting point for this new National Exco under the leadership of Mr Maikyau.

The public release also Congratulated 1st Vice President, Mrs. Linda Bala, 2nd Vice President, Mr. Clement Ugo and 3rd Vice President, Mrs. Amanda Demechi-Asagba. The Branch chairman also felicitated General Secretary, Mr. Adesina Adegbite, Assistant General Secretary, Mr. Daniel Kip Ka-Ayli, National Welfare, Ms. Chinyere Obasi, National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Habeeb Lawal, Assistant Publicity Secretary, Mr. Charles Ajiboye Olawale and Treasurer, Anze-Bishop Ladidi.
