The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Gombe State branch, has awarded Governor Inuwa Yahaya with an Award of Excellence in recognition of his “exceptional leadership and outstanding contributions to the development of the state.” The award was presented during the NBA’s Law Week celebration held on Thursday at the multipurpose hall of Matrix International School, Gombe.

NBA Gombe Branch Chairman, Barrister Benjamin Sati, praised Governor Yahaya’s administration for its remarkable achievements in sectors such as infrastructure, healthcare, education, and the expansion of water supply projects. He also commended the governor’s focus on continuity in governance, noting his commitment to sustaining and completing projects initiated by previous administrations.

Governor Yahaya, represented by the state’s Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Zubair Muhammad Umar, reiterated his administration’s strong commitment to upholding the rule of law and supporting the justice sector. He assured that his government would continue fostering a collaborative relationship with the judiciary and the legal community to safeguard citizens’ rights and promote good governance in Gombe State.
