The newly deployed State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kano State Command has assumed duty.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC Ibrahim Abdullahi, confirmed his resumption via a press statement, issued to The PUNCH on Sunday.
He is Commandant Mohammed Lawal Falala, an indigene of Zamfara State, who had his early education in Gusau, Zamfara State, and later obtained a BSc in Accounting and a Master’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from the Bayero University, Kano.
His journey into the service of the NSCDC began in his home State of Zamfara before he was later transferred to the National Headquarters of the Corps, Finance, and Account Directorate.
Also, Commandant Mohammed Lawal Falala worked in various Units at the Nhq, including the office of the ACG Finance, as PA, the office of the AGF, etc. He was one time 2ic, Kano command. Until his recent deployment to Kano, as the state Commandant, Commandant Falala was at Zone ‘N’, Zonal Command, Kano.
The PRO also disclosed that the new state Commandant has so many awards to his credit, as well as being a member of numerous professional bodies: FCNA, NIM, ANAN, etc. He also attended different courses in
Nigeria and overseas, including Italy, Ireland, Brazil, Israel, Turkey, etc.
Commandant Falala is happily married with children.
The newly posted Commandant had held a maiden meeting, with the management and solicited their support and cooperation, to achieve the desired result of tackling security challenges in the State, as well as to ensure the protection of lives and property and safeguard all critical national assets and infrastructure.
Commandant ML Falala has since hit the ground running, directing the massive deployment of NSCDC personnel in the State for a peaceful May 29 Governorship inauguration, an assignment they’ll embark upon in synergy with Nigerian Police, DSS, and all the security agencies.
