Two factory workers were rescued by officials from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and the state fire service after they became trapped while working on a diesel reservoir in the Ikosi area of Lagos on Saturday morning.

According to a statement from the Permanent Secretary of LASEMA, Dr. Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, the incident occurred around 10 a.m. when one of the workers accidentally fell into the diesel reservoir while performing repair work. His colleague, in a desperate attempt to rescue him, also fell into the reservoir.

The victims, both adult males, sustained serious injuries but were quickly rescued. They received first aid, including CPR, before being transported to the hospital by the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS) for further treatment.img 20250111 wa0010
