Former federal lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has shared his thoughts on bandits and terrorists attacks on Muslims and Christian in Northern Nigeria.

Shehu Sani believes that Christians and Muslims suffer the same predicaments in the hands of terrorists operating in different states in the region, but noted that representatives of the former seem to be raising more awareness than the latter.

Recall the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Matthew Kukah had recently, while addressing the US Congress, expressed fear that the Nigerian government under President Muhammadu Buhari is not handling issues concerning religious crisis the right way.

He alleged the persecution of Christians in Nigeria by Islamic extremist groups in the Northern Region of Nigeria.

Kukah told Congress that although the attack on Christians in Nigeria have been happening for many years now, it has risen in the last 10 years.

“In Kaduna State, both Muslims and Christians are victims of Banditry and terrorism,” Sani tweeted.

“The difference is that the representatives of the former have voluntarily chosen to conceal the suffering and tragedy of their people in order not to hurt the people in government.”
