The Hon. President of the National Industrial Court, His Lordship, Hon. Justice Benedict Kanyip, PhD, FNIALS has expressed shock and sadness over the death of the pioneer President of the Court, retired Justice Paul Atilade.
Justice Atilade became the president of the Court in the year 1976 and retired in 1997.
The Late Jurist hailed from Oyo State, South-West Nigeria, and died on Friday 11th December 2020 at the age of 88 years.
While commiserating with the family of the late jurist, His Lordship stated that Judiciary in its entirety has lost a judicial icon and a nationalist per excellence; that the late Justice Paul Atilade noble contribution to the growth of the Court and humanity would forever remain evergreen.
Justice Kanyip prayed to God to grant the repose of the deceased eternal rest and grant and to give the family the grace and fortitude to accommodate the irreparable loss.
